Glasgow has a background in business management and has developed her competencies over a period of more than thirty years. Her education and related work experiences and expertise, which were acquired at renowned institutions in a number of countries including India, Canada and Jamaica, have earned her several awards.

The honorary consul looks forward to being of significance to Suriname and using her expertise to stimulate young entrepreneurship in the country, as well as to help existing organizations and companies in their development and improvement of corporate governance.

Glasgow also wants to promote the mutual network between Suriname and Jamaica, as many Jamaicans are not familiar with Suriname. Minister Ramdin indicated that he expected a contribution to better cooperation between Jamaica and Suriname and further development of the relationship, especially in the areas of trade and industry.
